With our continued expansion plans, we need a compliance professional's expert knowledge and experience to support the Head of Compliance and MLRO in overseeing all things compliance! You’ll have full access to our outstanding team to help us continue putting players first by protecting them and providing a safe place to enjoy gaming. This means ensuring that our practices are meeting or exceeding legal, regulatory, financial, operational, and advertising best practices and requirements. 

This role is located in Gibraltar, and will report to the Head of Compliance & MLRO.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all policy aspects of the compliance function throughout the business, ensuring they are up to date with current regulations and best practices; This includes AML, marketing, GDPR/data protection, information security, and licensing conditions (like the LCCP, for example).

  • Work closely with the Head of Compliance and MLRO to ensure compliance with AML regulations and legislation..

  • Oversee the onboarding of suppliers from a compliance perspective by conducting risk assessments and due diligence checks and completing ongoing monitoring throughout the duration of the business relationship.

  • In the absence of the Head of Compliance & MLRO, chair the monthly compliance forum, which includes all relevant stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that any compliance-related updates and issues are understood, discussed, and agreed together in a collaborative manner. Following up with agreed action items to ensure completion. 

  • Perform regular spot checks on top accounts to ensure that our biggest players are being protected and fall within the guidelines prescribed by both our policies and the expectations of our regulators.

  • Support with regulatory reporting, ensuring regulatory returns, key events, requests for information and any other regulatory reporting requirements are completed to a high standard in a timely manner.

  • Subscribing to regulator newsletters and prominent news sites to follow any compliance-related announcements and glean learnings from them. These should be broadcast to staff members via appropriate compliance channels and documented for our compliance forums to ensure that everyone is aware of recent developments. 

  • Review our terms and conditions (and all related documents), from time to time, and suggest any updates or changes that may be required.

  • Feedback on specifications and system developments either designed for compliance or affecting compliance.

  • Guide and mentor members of the Compliance team to ensure that they are set up for success and are fulfilling their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

  • Suggest operational, product, or technical changes that might be beneficial to bring efficiencies to compliance practices while ensuring a great player experience. This may include integrating third-party systems and tools that can help us improve or speed up existing practices.

  • Identify upcoming and anticipated risks to the business and propose compliant solutions.

  • Provide guidance and support to other departments within the company to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all marketing approvals are consistent across the group and meet the industry standards e.g. ASA, CAP code and other regulations

  • Liaison with other Customer Operations, providing support and guidance to ensure compliance and regulatory matters are being upheld across the business

  • Review and approval of operational processes and procedures, ensuring they are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Creating and maintaining processes and procedures for Compliance Team tasks and monitoring team performance. 

Your Profile

  • Experience in a senior compliance position within an iGaming environment; including specific experience of working with UK & Gibraltar regulations and governing bodies

  • Strong understanding of LCCP, AML, ASA and data protection regulations and legislation 

  • Ideally hold a relevant professional Legal, Compliance or  AML qualification  

  • An effective communicator, who is confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including senior business members, third parties, regulators and external auditors

  • Able to design and deliver compliance related training materials

  • Able to manage changing priorities as the needs of the Business, Regulators and Commission evolve

  • High level of Integrity and able to  demonstrate a fair, consistent, open and honest approach to work

  • Able to interpret Guidance Notes and Regulations and be able to translate into Policy documents
